I'm not liking it so far. Too serious. the other players don't seem to be having any fun. Game is gritty, too realistic almost.
Jury is still out.
Not happy with how glitchy it feels. On my hardware it should scream, but I had to dumb down the graphics settings to High. Still kind of herky jerky at times. Forums show people pissed about FPS on really hot hardware too.
I like MW2 more at this point. More fun.

I updated my vid driver and glitches went away. You can't go prone on this game? I'll play with it some more, but connectivity issues, physics of the game have me in the COD4 camp right now.

Yeah you cannot go prone from what I see.
This game reminds me of CSS in an AWPFest. Lots of guys hiding in trees and bushes with snipers. Spawn/die. Spawn/die. Spawn take two steps, die.
Oh and did I mention it seems everyone playing is kind of an asshole? It's like L4D2. Everyone pissed off and screaming at each other that the reason they lost is cuz everyone else on the team sucks but them.
I have enough stress at work, thanks. Don't need my head exploding over a fucking game.
Meh.

that is nothing like my experience from beta testing this game. unless some major changes happened 1 week before its release, i just dont see what your problem is grog.
i almost never got spawn killed, unless some sneaky mofo managed to sneak behind enemy lines and no one got smart enough to hunt him down and kill him. as for snipers? take some cover bro. teams full of snipers lose, just let them snipe.
no you cant go prone, the engine they are using does not allow it.
i think you just suck grog.
oh and as for poor performance, i was having issues too until i updated my vid drivers. my system is old and hella slow compared to the one you have in your signature, and it runs just fine for me on medium settings.

I'll give it a whirl again tonight.
I got Nvidia's newest driver last night and installed. Let's see how it does.
I tried 5 times a half hour ago and it couldn't find any games in any mode so hope it's working now.
And yes, it's no secret I suck.

Physics of shooting someone not as enjoyable as COD. Sound not as enjoyable. A lot of things that seem should be climbable or jump on able, aren't.
Overall, I kinda like the single player story, but seems a few shortcuts were made,ie when weapons suddenly appear in your hands (binos, pistol), so you follow the script.
I rate this as a 7/10, COD being 8.5/10 and CS being 5/10.

people who like to camp will not like bad company it is team based, you will not enjoy multi player until you rank up enough to get the gadgets and kits to repair vehicles or revive players as medic, if you ever played battlefield 2 it is the same game play.
pros: I found a few dedi servers with admins in my steam friends so I can get rid of cheaters quickly "main reason I will never play mw2"
vehicle warfare can get pretty crazy flying helicopters and driving tanks is fun if you don't want to do infantry fighting all the time.
you can set C4 and anti tank mine traps and kill allot of people at once.
80% of the environment can be destroyed.
have been teaming up with steam friends and having a good time playing with them.
cons: Some of the single player scenes have breath taking graphics but I honestly feel it was cut a bit short.
I was expecting voice chat to work but I have yet to see it function.
there is no limit to classes which means allot of noobs will be picking recon sniper and then get owned by my knife, maybe this needs to be a pro

Well I've been playing it more - it is starting to grow on me -I love driving the tanks, but I can't fly the choppers - I always end up going backwards and then flipping upside down and the guy in there with me gets pissed off hahaha
Still dealing with random lockups.

yeah man the heli is hard to fly, but thats the case irl too. much more complex than a plane... and light years beyond a vehicle.
i found its a lot easier to fly if you dont use the mouse. use W and S for up and down (also controls speed to a degree), A/D for rotate left/right, and the arrow keys for tilt. and, if you are playing on a server that allows it, hit C to use 3rd person view... its much more friendly.
also, try not to overcompensate for things... if you tilt too much one way, rather than trying to tilt back the other to compensate, just ease off and try to let it balance itself out.
i have gotten good enough to fly it without crashing, but not quite good enough to fly it in evasive maneuvers while giving my gunners a chance to shoot targets. thats the real skill imo.
